Note: Letters can only be submitted for registered courses. Accommodations must be renewed each academic year by meeting with a DSS counselor.
Step 1: Visit the DSS Student Portal at dss.noce.edu/
The direct link can also be found on the NOCE website, under Student Services, under Disability Support Services.
Step 2: Click on “Request Accommodation Letters”
You may only request accommodations for courses you are registered to take through NOCE.
Step 3: Click on the “Accommodations” Tab
Step 4: Log in Using Your MyGateway Username and Password
Log onto MyGateway with your MyGateway ID (also known as your Banner/Student ID) and your password.
Don’t know your MyGateway ID?
Click on the “Forgot Username” link on the MyGateway site.
Don’t know your password?
Click on the “Forgot Password?” button on the MyGateway site.

Step 5: Click on “Request” Next to the Class for Which You Need Accommodations
You will see a list of all the courses you are currently enrolled in at NOCE.
Step 6: Select the Accommodations You Will Need for the Course
Pay close attention to the accommodations for “Exams.” You may see an accommodation listed twice if it has been approved for both exams and supports within the classroom/on campus.
If you need to modify existing accommodations or request additional accommodations for which you have not yet been approved, please contact the DSS Main Office at (714) 808-4719 to request a counseling appointment.
Step 7: Click the Circular Button to Approve Accommodations and Send the Letter to Your Instructor
Step 8: Select the Checkbox if You Agree to the Terms Outlined
Step 9: Click Submit
Your request will be approved immediately, and you can access a copy of your letter.
Your letter is sent automatically to the instructor for review and confirmation.
At the start of each NOCE course, students are encouraged to communicate directly with instructors about their classroom or exam accommodations.
