Professional Development

NOCE Professional Development (Pro D) honors the dedication and leadership of influential faculty and staff. Led by a seven member representative committee, Pro D supports all NOCE faculty and staff by providing and promoting a wide variety of training opportunities.

Pro D facilitates internal professional learning opportunities at one or all of the three campus centers and approves funding for participation in a broad scope of external professional learning opportunities (conferences, etc.)

The NOCE Pro D committee collaborates with the district to plan and implement the tenured instructor FLEX Program. Registrations in the District Wide Professional Development calendar for training events generates a cumulative report and can be used to verify attendance with the NOCE FLEX Verification Form due May 18, 2018. All events in the calendar are open to everyone in the district unless designated as a closed institutional event. The Pro D committee registers FLEX documents with the state of California each year and is required to collect yearly

attendance for the two mandatory FLEX days and individually selected training events. Please use this official NOCE FLEX Verification Form to report your FLEX hours. Attached is an Introductory document which includes a Frequently Asked Questions section.
