Raising kids takes time and constant effort. NOCE’s Love & Logic® courses can help adults develop everyday, simple tools that make life not only manageable but enjoyable and ease the moments of challenge and uncertainty.

You can establish healthy boundaries with your child/teen while learning the unique needs of each of your children. These courses can assist parents in understanding children’s issues, and even recognizing symptoms of common disorders; as well as provide tips to help parents in navigating parenting in a peaceful, respectful, and encouraging way.

  • Parenting the Love and Logic Way®

    This course assists parents and caregivers in developing practical skills for reinforcing the expectations their children experience at home and in school. Utilizing the Love and Logic® approach, this course will teach six subsets of skills that encourage home environments that stimulate responsibility, prevent misbehavior, and encourage setting healthy limits.

  • Love & Logic Early Childhood: Parenting Made Fun!®

    This course assists parents and caregivers in developing practical skills for reinforcing the expectations their children experience at home and in school. Utilizing the Love and Logic® early childhood approach, this course will teach five subsets of skills that encourage home environments that stimulate responsibility and prevent misbehavior, and encourage setting healthy limits. 

  • Love and Logic: Supporting Youth with Special Needs™

    This course is designed to support adults parenting or supporting youth with disabilities by developing practical skills for reinforcing the expectations of children at home and in school. By utilizing the Love and Logic® approach, this course will teach four subsets of skills that encourage home environments that stimulate positive relationship development, empathetic listening, realistic goal setting and encourage independence. The information included in this course is for those who already have a strong understanding of the Love and Logic® approach.

  • Love and Logic: Adults Supporting Youth with Challenging Pasts™

    This course assists parents and caregivers in understanding how trauma and hurtful events affect a child’s brain. Students will learn the importance of bonding and relationships and how to address the root causes of a child’s behavior through practicing empathy, establishing boundaries, and building healthy relationships.

  • Love and Logic® Lab Courses

    Adults who enroll in a Love and Logic® lab course meet for two hours a week to practice Love and Logic® parenting skills with other students and ask questions of the instructor.

    Note: NOCE’s Love and Logic® Lab courses have a co-requisite course. This means that to enroll in a Love and Logic® Lab course, a student is required to also enroll in its co-requisite course:

    • PARN 275 requires co-requisite enrollment in PARN 265.
    • PARN 277 requires co-requisite enrollment in PARN 267.
    • PARN 278 requires co-requisite enrollment in PARN 268.
    • PARN 279 requires co-requisite enrollment in PARN 269.
  • Student Success Certificate – Love and Logic®

    NOCE hosts a special event in the spring during which students who earned a student success award can celebrate their achievements with family and friends during a public ceremony. Students who pass these three classes can earn a Student Success certificate in parenting:

    • Parenting the Love and Logic Way®
    • Love and Logic: Supporting Youth with Special Needs™
    • Love and Logic: Adults Supporting Youth with Challenging Pasts™
