We’re partnering with the Brea Resource Center to offer free, one-night classes for parents:

Save the date! Connected Parenting Seminar on January 28, 2027, at 5 p.m.

Learn why attachment and connection matter and how they build a foundation of lifelong wellness for children. You will leave with simple, research-based techniques to encourage feelings of safety and security while fostering healthy regulation skills that help decrease challenging behaviors. This seminar benefits parents of children of any age and introduces select concepts from NOCE’s full-length class, PARN 102, Connected Parenting. 

  • Thursday, January 28, 2027, from 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Brea Community Center, 695 E. Madison Way, Brea, 92821
  • Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m.
  • Instructor: Jamie De La Mora, NOCE Parenting Program
  • No cost to participate, but registration is required.
  • Hosted by the Brea Resource Center and the City of Brea.
  • Kidwatch childcare is available for $3 per hour/per child during the seminar for children ages 18 months to 12 years for parents attending the class.
  • Registration for the seminar is via NOCE only:
    • Between Dec. 2, 2026, and January 28, 2027, adults ages 18+ can self-register with NOCE only online or register in person at one of NOCE’s campuses,
      OR
    • Register with NOCE only between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. the day of the seminar at the Brea Community Center. (Photo ID required to register.)

2026 Building Trauma-Informed Communities Conference

The 7th Annual Building Trauma-Informed Communities (BTIC) Conference was held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Brea Community Center. Nearly 100 community members participated in the keynote address and break-out sessions hosted by NOCE Parenting Program faculty and other service providers, including the Riverside Unified School District, Orange County Healthcare Agency, Soulful Transformation, and NOCE’s Counseling Department.
