Parents: Do you have bedtime battles, whining and arguing, power struggles, or discouraged and resistant learners? NOCE’s Parenting Program can help! Parents can raise responsible kids and teach them without raising your voice or repeating yourself! Parenting Program courses without children focus on effective parenting as well as the Love and Logic® framework.
You can establish healthy boundaries with your child/teen while learning the unique needs of each of your children. These courses can assist parents in understanding children’s issues, and even recognizing symptoms of common disorders; as well as provide tips to help parents in navigating parenting in a peaceful, respectful, and encouraging way.

Building Trauma Informed Communities
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are a huge factor in the upbringing of children. With the information provided by these classes, parents and educators will learn ways to develop trust, build healthy relationships, and communicate with children in their lives that may have ACEs.
A conference, sponsored by North Orange County Regional Consortium’s K-12 Student Success Workgroup, is also held each year with keynote speakers focusing on reducing ACEs and working through trauma. This conference is attended by K-12 teachers, administrators, counselors, social workers, therapists, non-profit and social services agencies, aftercare programs, higher education staff and counselors, and parents.

I admit that I only enrolled in the NOCE Parenting with Love and Logic® classes because my son’s teacher offered extra credit for students who got their parents to attend. However, I genuinely digested the parenting tools taught in class; it was life-changing. I use the skills I have acquired and I am more confident in my abilities as a parent. Eric Johnson
