NOCE Ready to Launch New Entry Experience on Sept. 30

This fall, North Orange Continuing Education (NOCE) will switch to CCCStart, which is a new way to apply. This change is happening in all California Community Colleges to make signing up clearer and easier for new students.

NOCE is in Wave 1, meaning it will be one of the first schools to use this new application system. NOCE will start using CCCStart on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

This is part of a system-wide change to the application experience to simplify applying, help students better understand their goals, and create a more modern, student-focused experience.

What is new about CCCStart?

• The entry experience is mobile-friendly and easier to complete.
• Application questions are more intuitive and more personalized.
• Your free OpenCCC carries your personal information from one college to another, so you won’t have to re-enter everything if you apply to more than one college.
• CCCStart uses fewer, smarter questions that are connected to your goals.
• You may notice that we use “Start” instead of “Apply.” North Orange Continuing Education is an open-access school, so you don’t have to wait to find out whether you will be accepted. You are beginning the enrollment process.

Who Will This Transition Impact?

This change will only impact new and prospective students who have yet to apply to NOCE. If you are already an NOCE student or have already applied, no action is needed.
