Older Adults Program

As we age, it is important to continue leading self-sufficient and independent lives. Our Older Adults Program courses are designed to promote independence, advocacy, physical and cognitive health, economic self-sufficiency, and community engagement for adults age 50 and older. Whether you are looking to improve your mental and physical health and wellness or simply want to pick up a new hobby, our program can empower you to reach your goal.

Classes and Programs

Vocational & Business

Classes will assist you in exploring your potential and the opportunities that exist. Learn business skills to re-enter the workplace, re-career, or start a new business. Classes are offered in Grant Writing, How to Establish a Small Business, Reinventing Yourself, Computers, and much more.

Educational Enrichment

Develop a sense of personal empowerment through continued learning that demonstrates self-awareness of the knowledge, experience, understanding, and wisdom that one attains in later adulthood. Attend classes like: Living with Flair, Staying Mentally Sharp, Great Literature, Style Redefined, Creative Writing, and other exciting classes.

Creative Arts

Explore personal interests and aptitudes in the arts to enhance mental acuity, fine motor skills, creativity, and art appreciation. Apply these skills for personal and monetary gains. Learn Calligraphy, Ceramics, China Painting, Needlecraft Arts, Painting, and Quilting. Discover one of the Chorale, Chorus, or Tone Chime classes

Body & Mind

Engage in physical, mental and nutritional activities designed to enhance the quality and enjoyment of life. Participate in classes such as: Balance and Mobility, Physical Fitness, Yoga, Tai Chi, Senior Topics, or Food Prep and Good Nutrition. Learn how humor and laughter have a therapeutic value to lift our spirits to a healthy peak!

Mature Driver

Improvement classes for licensed drivers age 55 and older who wish to qualify for a reduced insurance premium; and brush up on traffic laws and safety techniques for a driver's license exam. A Certificate of Completion will be awarded as evidence of attendance to obtain up to three years of reduced insurance rates from participating insurance companies.
