Call for Proposals
Be Part of California’s Premier Adult Education Gathering
We invite you to submit a proposal for the California Adult Education Program Summit 2025, taking place September 24–26, 2025, at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, California.
This year’s theme, Building Bridges to Success: Innovate, Integrate, Impact, spotlights the powerful role of partnership and creativity in advancing outcomes for adult learners. As California’s adult education system aligns with the goals outlined in the Vision 2030 roadmap and Transforming Schools: Superintendent’s Initiative, this year’s Summit will highlight strategies that strengthen systems, expand access, and support equitable, learner-centered design across the state.
The California Adult Education Program Summit 2025 is where innovation meets influence. It’s where practitioners and leaders come together to surface bold ideas, elevate breakthrough practices, and drive lasting change across the adult education system.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome proposals from practitioners, leaders, faculty, and partners across the adult education landscape. Presentations should reflect promising practices, applied research, and real-world solutions that align with the Summit’s focus and one or more of the following strands:
- CAEP Program Best Practices: Highlight effective strategies and models that improve adult education programs. Sessions in this strand emphasize real-world solutions, scalable practices, and innovative approaches to tackle common challenges.
- CAEP Practitioner Research: Share research from practitioners that evaluates the effectiveness of programs, instructional strategies, student supports, or policy initiatives in adult education. Presentations should focus on findings that guide practice, policy, or program design.
- CAEP Partnerships: Showcase successful partnerships among K–12 adult schools, community colleges, workforce agencies, or community organizations that aid adult learners. Sessions should emphasize strategies for building, sustaining, and leveraging these partnerships to improve learner success.
Sessions should support peer learning and practical application. Presenters are encouraged to include takeaways, tools, or models that can be adapted across programs.
