Recent DSS Graduate Dies; Services to Take Place on 3/21 and 3/22

Former Disability Support Services Program graduate Brenda Lopez, 29, recently experienced an accident and subsequently passed away from the complications. Lopez was a student at NOCE from the 2011 Summer Term until she graduated at the last year's Student Success Event in the 2018 Spring Term. Her plan at the time of graduation was to transition to a Regional Center-funded program that would continue to prepare her for employment. Staff, faculty and counselors say that she will be fondly remembered for her warm smile, laugh, and strong determination.

Services for Lopez are open to the general public and will take place this week:

Viewing: Thursday, March 21, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 800 S. Lemon Street, Anaheim, CA 92805
Mass: Friday, March 22, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Saint Polycarp Catholic Church located at 8100 Chapman Avenue, Stanton, CA 90680
Funeral burial: Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, CA 90630
