NOCE 2019 Student Celebration Events – Commencement, Student Success, Scholarship: NOCE will host the Commencement and Student Success/Scholarship Awards Event on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Cottonwood Church, located at 4505 Katella Avenue in Los Alamitos. All family and friends are invited to attend each ceremony for free;no tickets are required.Following is information regarding the ceremonies:

  • Commencement Ceremony: 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Students may participate in the 2019 NOCE Commencement Ceremony if they have completed the program requirements in the following academic programs: High School Diploma Program, Administrative Assistant Certificate Program, Early Childhood Education Certificate Program, Electrical Trainee Certificate Program, Funeral Service Assistant Certificate Program, Management Certificate Program, Medical Assistant Certificate Program (completion of both Front Office and Back Office), Pharmacy Technician Certificate Program, and Quality Assurance Management for Medical Devices Certificate Program.In order to participate in the 2019 Commencement Ceremony, students MUST see a counselor to complete a Grad Check Request Form no later than FRIDAY, JUNE 7, 2019 at 2 p.m. The only cost to participate in the NOCE Commencement Ceremony is for the purchase of a cap, gown, and tassel.   • Student Success/Scholarship Event: 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Includes awards for those that were notified via letter that they have completed the following programs: Disability Suppor Services (DSS), English as a Second Language (ESL) Advanced, ESL Academic Success, ESL/Citizenship. In addition, specially-nominated and selected students who will receive the Student Success Award as well as student leaders and scholarship recipients.

Cottonwood Church is an ideal location for both events with its modern auditorium-like venue that can seat 3,300 and has plenty of parking for family and guests. With the indoor facility, graduates can enjoy the air condition during a potentially hot day in June while families can enjoy the large screens with up-close video on the graduates throughout the ceremony. Many local schools also utilize the facility for graduation and awards ceremonies. We look forward to celebrating our students at these 2019 celebration events!
