October 2, 2019 7:40 AM
The California Community College Chancellor’s Office has designated the week of October 14-17, 2019 to be the Undocumented Week of Action. NOCE Grads to Be Mentors are planning various activities to commemorate. Throughout the week, NOCE Grads to Be will host activities for students, staff, and faculty to attend in both the day and evening. The goal is to empower and educate students through advocacy, resource provision, and knowledge of pertinent immigration affairs. NOCE is pleased to welcome Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva, two lawyers, the Mexican Consulate, and several legal and mental health agencies throughout the week. See the attached flier for more information. Thank you to NOCRC Special Projects Manager Hilda Rivera and the Grads to Be Mentors for planning these activities for our students.
