Free Conference: Building Trauma Informed Communities

On Wednesday, November 13, 2019 and Thursday, November 14, 2019 the North Orange County Regional Consortium for Adult Education (NOCRC) and North Orange Continuing Education will be hosting a free conference, Building Trauma Informed Communities. The event will be held from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at the Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove (12681 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92840). This conference also serves as a great professional development opportunity for parents, teachers, social workers, and anyone who works with children and families.
The special event on Wednesday, November 13 -14, 2019 will discuss topics that include the impact of trauma on brain development, skills for challenging trauma-related behaviors, understanding ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), current trauma research, and more!
Open to all members of the community, the special conference will provide breakfast and lunch to attendees each day and will serve as a great resource - providing information on how we can create stronger and healthier communities. Participants can attend one or both days. Registration for the conference is free; parking is $5.00 per car, per day.
